A man in Woodbridge, VA was arrested and charged with multiple offenses after almost striking a Prince William County police officer with his vehicle on February 18, reports the Manassas Patch.
The suspect, 40-year-old Jeffrey Frye, was allegedly spotted shoplifting at the Home Depot on Stream Walk Lane in Manassas; he was cutting open product wrappings and removing their battery packs.

Frye then fled the Home Depot and was spotted by police officers in the parking lot. As officers attempted to apprehend him, Frye got inside his vehicle and almost collided with an officer before fleeing the scene.
Officers apprehended him near Wellington Rd. and University Boulevard.
Frye has been charged with reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, attempted malicious wounding of an officer, felony eluding, and attempted grand larceny.
There is no information on his bond or court date.
