A Manassas, VA man faces charges of DUI and felony hit-and-run after striking a vehicle and fleeing the scene, reports the Manassas Patch.
According to police, 22-year-old Ludvin Rogelio Ramirez, of Manassas, was driving a 1997 Honda Civic southbound on Thong Pan Road with passenger Perez Hernandez, 19, also of Manassas, at around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night when he struck a 1989 Mercedes 560SEL 
traveling east on Wellington Road.
Ramirez was attempting to make a left turn onto Wellington Road when he ran a stop sign and collided with the oncoming Mercedes. After the accident, Ramirez and Hernandez drove off without waiting for police to arrive.
After lengthy search of the area, Prince William County Police found the suspects and arrested them without incident.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 60-year-old man, was seriously injured in the accident but his injuries are non-life threatening. Hernandez was also seriously wounded and was transported by air to a local hospital. Ramirez came away uninjured. According to police, everyone was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Ramirez faces charges of felony hit-and-run, maiming as a result of DUI, driving on a revoked or suspended license, and providing false information to a police officer. Hernandez faces charges of felony hit and run and intoxication in public.
Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
